Cougar Valley Weekly Family Update

Stronger Together: Every Student, Every Day, Every Possibility

October 24, 2025

Happy Friday Cougar Valley Cats and Families,

What a busy and wonderful three-day week we’ve had! It was such a pleasure to see so many of you during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday. We truly value our partnership with families as we work together to support our Cats! Our students are doing incredible work, and we can’t wait to see all that this year has in store for us.

Next week, we’ll wrap up October with our annual Fall Harvest & Pumpkin Run Fun on Friday! We’ll be running rain or shine, so please make sure your student is dressed appropriately for the weather. While we will have an indoor alternative if needed, nearly all of our kiddos love to take part in this long-standing tradition.

Volunteers: we need you—rain or shine! If you’re not up for helping in wet weather, please let Mr. Cathcart know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. The more volunteers, the better! Pumpkin Run Volunteer Sign Up

We’re looking forward to a fun-filled week ahead and truly appreciate your ongoing support and partnership.

In Service,
Monday Galbreath

If you would like to include a photo of your veteran in our schoolwide slide presentation, please use the link below to upload your picture. We’d love to feature as many of our community’s heroes as possible!

By becoming a member, you help build a strong foundation of support for our students, and you can choose how you’d like to share your time and talents in a way that works best for you.

Thank you for considering joining and being part of this important work!

Complete your 2025 Impact Aid Form

Every year, Central Kitsap School District applies for federal Impact Aid funding. These funds compensate CKSD for the loss of local tax dollars from tax exempt federal property.

The results of our Impact Aid survey help support our request for these federal funds. This survey is critical to our district’s resources for students. We must receive information from each student.
