Happy Monday Cougar Valley Cats and Families,

Good morning, and apologies for the delay — our updates are usually sent on Fridays, but I’m sending this one out this morning.

We had a very busy week last week! Between the full moon, picture retakes, and really diving into our curriculum, there’s been a lot happening. We’ve also noticed an uptick in behavior challenges. As always, we continue to focus on establishing and practicing clear expectations each day.

Please take a moment to talk with your child about our school expectations and how they can help contribute to the positive climate we’re building together. We are stronger together, and each of us makes a big difference!

Veteran's Day Concert

Our 3rd graders will present our Annual Veterans Day Concert today, Monday, November 10th, at 6:00 p.m. We’re so proud of their hard work and can’t wait to honor our veterans together as a school community.

Thanksgiving Meal Donations

🦃 Help Provide Thanksgiving Meals for Cougar Valley Families

Every year, we partner with the Drew Crew to provide full Thanksgiving meals to Cougar Valley families in need.

A $45 donation covers the cost of one complete meal, but any amount you’re able to contribute will make a difference and go toward this meaningful cause.

If you would like to donate:

Use the QR code and follow these steps:

Enter KSSNS as both the User Name and Password.
Click on “Non Student KSSNS.”
Select “Items at Student’s School Including Food Service.”
Click on “Drew Crew.”
Enter the amount of your donation.
Click “Buy.”
Go to “Checkout” in the upper right corner.
Continue through the checkout process and indicate the school, Cougar Valley to benefit from your donation.

💡 Please note: There is no transaction fee charged.

Complete your 2025 Impact Aid Form

Every year, Central Kitsap School District applies for federal Impact Aid funding. These funds compensate CKSD for the loss of local tax dollars from tax exempt federal property.

The results of our Impact Aid survey help support our request for these federal funds. This survey is critical to our district’s resources for students. We must receive information from each student.

ASB Food Drive Begins Next Week!

Our Cougar Valley ASB will begin their annual Food Drive on Monday, November 3rd and run through November 21st. Please consider sending in non-perishable food items if you are able. Thank you!
