Dear Cougar Valley Families,

Welcome to Cougar Valley Elementary and the 2026–27 school year! We are so excited to see all of our Cougar Valley Cats on Monday, August 31st, for the first day of school!

It was wonderful connecting with so many of you during our Family Connection Day. These opportunities to meet, listen, and begin building relationships are an important part of creating a strong school community, and we are looking forward to a fantastic year together!

Our goal is for every student and family to feel welcomed, valued, supported, and confident that you belong here. We know that when schools and families work together, students are more successful. Your partnership, communication, encouragement, and trust make a tremendous difference in the lives of our students.

Thank you for sharing your children with us. It is a privilege to learn alongside them, celebrate their growth, and help them discover all they are capable of achieving.

Cougar Valley Elementary

We are excited to welcome our Cougar Valley Cats back for the 2026–27 school year! To help students ease into the new school year, our district will begin with a “Slow Start” for all students.

🐾 Slow Start: August 31–September 2

All students will attend three half days during the first week of school:

This gradual start gives students and staff an opportunity to establish routines, reconnect with classmates, and begin the year in a positive and supportive way.
